Piankhy, Stakodder & 123hopp!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_dragon“Chinese dragons traditionally symbolize potent and auspicious powers, particularly control over water, rainfall, hurricane, and floods. The dragon is also a symbol of power, strength, and good luck. With this, the Emperor of China usually used the dragon as a symbol of his imperial power.”
Lite allmänt om att det är drakens fel:
http://www.boingdragon.com/mourn.html“Dragons were associated with the Devil and the end of the world, and were blamed for just about everything. If there were storms or floods, dragons were blamed. If the crops were poor, it was because dragons had despoiled them.”
Undras vad som menas här, men kan vara av intresse:
http://chinesefolktales.blogspot.se/search?q=military“The Chinese celestial sky dog may be derived from a star deity. later becoming an entity that could ward off evil, especially the menace of fox goblins. However, in other traditions, it could preside over military disasters”
En skröna, men ändå:
http://www.pjfarmer.com/secret/Immortal/phra2.htm“For example, Myrddin was said to have been a youth in the time of King Vortigern, who came to power in 425. Vortigern was building a tower, but the foundation kept falling. Vortigern consulted his magicians, and they told him he should find a boy without a father, kill him, and incorporate his bones and blood into the foundations of the castle. Myrddin was able to defeat the magic of the most powerful of Vortigern's magicians.(2) He predicted that Vortigern would fall, defeated by a dragon.(3)”
