The Guedelon project presents itself as a field of experimental archaeology but it is not really a field of experimental archaeolgy. For example, they have built the kiln for the ceramics with concrete and there are only two archeologists in the scientific comitee... But it traines workers and one of the archeologists of the scientific comitee, Frederic Epaud, is (the) specialist in France for the questions of medieval architectural woods.
This project have often a stand of presentation during french medieval market.
